WebShadowplay defaults the highest bitrate for 1440p recording at (50)Mbps. However, If I switch the resolution to (in game), it allows me to raise the bitrate all the way to (130)Mbps. My question is two fold. Firstly, why doesn't it allow me to record 130Mbps at the 1440p default setting? When I select "in game" setting, it's still 1440p. WebReLive uses hardware encoder which is faster but needs higher bitrates to maintain quality. YouTube's 6 mbps look about as good as ReLive's 20-30 mbps. Xjph • 4 yr. ago. For local recording crank the bitrate as high as you have the storage to accommodate. It's not like it costs you any extra to do so.
